We’re not just talking first aid and Band-Aids. Correctional medicine requires that the physician work independently, applying assessment skills daily, and providing all levels of medical care.
Qualifications:
•Open to MD or DO
•Must be BE or BC in FP, IM, Emergency Medicine or a General Practitioner.
•May be a new graduate of an accredited program. Should have a minimum of two years of full time experience as a practicing Health Care Professional in the last three years. (Residency time counts as practicing experience)
•Active unrestricted NM license
•Current DEA.
•Must be able to type and must have current experience using computers.
•Must be a US citizen and able to clear a Federal Background check.
