 CV’s are being accepted for BC/BE internists to join a hospitalist group in Iowa. This group uses block scheduling and is essentially 7 on/7 off, 15 12-hour shifts. As they add more to the group they are considering improving this schedule. They currently have 7 working at a time, but would like to have 8-10 working at a time. Current patient load is 15-18 and will increase to 18-20 per day. Salary is $180,000 plus bonuses. They will cover the malpractice premium (but no tail coverage). Pension plan available. This is a very diverse and cohesive group. Great location in Iowa.

Each full time hospitalist will work 192 hours of clinical professional medical services per month, consisting of approximately twelve and eight-hour shifts.  $180 base salary with possible signing bonus. All malpractice premium paid while the physician is in our employment. We also make a contribution on their behalf to our pension plan. Service started in 06 with 6 will be at 13/14 by July. Goal is to be at 16-20 as soon as possible!
