The service is very popular with area physicians, works closely with the very busy ER (over 35,000 ER visits per year) and enjoys a robust specialty staff. The schedule is 5 days on, 5 days off. The hospital has completed a large renovation and infrastructure renewal process with a cath lab, MRI, 16-slice CT, PACS system and electronic medical records in place. The compensation package is excellent and includes comprehensive benefits. The cost of living is significantly lower that the Massachusetts average and schools at all levels are excellent.
